Thank You 2018!

Spending my last hours of 2018 writing my appreciation post, this year has been really great for me. This is an appreciation post rather than a reflection post.

Let's start which travel part!

I'm so blessed to be able to travel to multiple countries this year, some experiences really widened my eyes to this beautiful world!

First country : Taiwan

This cherry blossom in Taiwan was unexpected! I loved this experience the most!

Second country: Banjaran Hotsprings, Malaysia.

A dream country since forever, will blog about it very very soon! (hint: first post will be the Magical Disneyland!)

Fifth country: Singapore

Preparing a travel blog post often requires a lot of effort and time, and I wasn't able to blog about my Singapore and Taiwan trip. But fret not I'm determined to finish my Paris travelogue!

Then piano part!

Honoured to meet with the legendary Dang Thai Son and attended his recital (purpose of Singapore visit!). Read the full blog post here .

Organized my first piano recital.

So thankful for my family, friends, teacher and students who supported me. I was only able to book the recital hall last minute and they RSVPed without any hesitations. My aunt even travelled from Johore and back home on the same day just to support me! So touched.

Changed to my current teacher, she's super supportive, love her to bits!

Finally gotten my first baby grand piano.

Attended another amazing world class concert by Stephen Hough!

Took my diploma ATCL exam (finger crossed that I could pass!)

Received my first bronze and second silver prize in 2 different piano competitions!

And performed in many other mini concerts!

Lastly...

Got my first designer bag in Paris!

Looking back to 2018, it's called an achievement year for me. This motivates me to work even harder in the year to come. I'm so grateful especially in my piano career, as I've almost given up at the beginning of the year. Luckily I didn't! Hope you had a wonderful year too and I can't wait for more challenges and surprise in the coming year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

love, Emma

  2. Howdy would you mind stating which blog platform you're using?
I'm planning to start my own blog in the near future but I'm having a difficult time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your layout seems
different then most blogs and I'm looking for something completely unique.

P.S Sorry for getting off-topic but I had to ask!

    1. every platform is different so you're advised to use the one you're familiar with, I customized my blog layout myself that's why it looks a little different. hope this helps :)
